Set on fourteen acres of land, Rimbun Dahan is a centre for developing traditional and contemporary art forms. It features buildings designed by Hijjas Kasturi, as well as two 19th century traditional Malay houses from Perak and Penang.

Rimbun Dahan will exhibit Azliza Ayob (b. 1975) at GWKL. Ayob is an artist who works in many mediums, such as painting, collage, and installation. She’s been working as an artist, facilitator, and educator for 15 years, exhibiting both locally and internationally in Japan, Australia, Sweden, Madrid, and Barcelona. Her yearlong residency at Rimbun Dahan in 2015/2016 culminates in an exhibition at GWKL 2016 featuring her signature collages as well as sculptural works of organic forms utilizing found, discarded and “unwanted” materials, such as hundreds of plastic bottles.
