2020

SINCE 2016, GWKL HAS BEEN AN ENERGISING, MULTI-DISCIPLINARY PRESENCE IN CREATIVITY.

GWKL launched in 2016 to become a celebrated annual cultural marquee that connects with creativity, local and global. The GWKL programme consistently stresses multi-disciplinary feature, covering: art, craft, design, architecture and numerous related topics emphasising also, their inter-relationship. Based on the belief that developing appreciation should be through free and accessible programming, the GWKL events are for the public and mostly free, including the anchor Luminary Programme.

GWKL exemplifies the power of collaboration and creative commitment.  GWKL  has harnesses the dynamic of the multi-disciplinary through a critical platform of varied events.  All activities promote accessibility and understanding of creative practises, including art, design, architectect and culture generally.

“Gallery Weekend KL gave such an incredible insight into the city’s art and cultural landscape. Expertly organised and executed, the informative programme was an unparalleled opportunity to understand Malaysia’s burgeoning art scene better and to engage with local players from curators to collectors.”
