Elias Yamani Ismail graduated from UiTM with Fine Arts Degree in 2000; Graphics Design and Multimedia at Lim Kok Wing University College of Creative Design and Multimedia in 2001 and Master in Arts from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2017. In early March, 2008, he created Satu: Creative Collective which supports, promotes and creates a platform for mainly visual arts programs. Which initiate several programs under segments such as Nuqtah, Transit and Saloran Seni: Malaysian Visual Arts Channel. Other than producing artworks Elias has strong interests in conducting research, formally thought by Malaysian renown art historian Redza Piyadasa and Professor Dato’ Ghulam Sawar an expert researcher in traditional Southeast Asian art. Currently he is carrying out his ongoing research into comparative studies on the visual arts, thinking processes and practice mainly on malaysian contexts. his works have been collected by various institutions including: National Art Gallery (Malaysia); Malaysian Embassy New Dehli, India; Putrajaya Cooperation, Mara University of Technology; University of Malaya; LimKokWing University College of Creative Design and Multimedia; Selayang Hospital, Selangor; The Stonor Centre, Kuala Lumpur; Soka Gakkai Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur; Tuanku Fauziah Museum & Gallery, USM, Pulau Pinang; Galeri Shah Alam; Publika Shopping Gallery and various private collectors from Malaysia, Japan, Canada, Germany and Australia.
